FDA

  • Malaria treatment or prevention of relapses caused by Plasmodium vivax. Also effective against gametocytes of P. falciparum.

NON-FDA APPROVED USES

  • Treatment of Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PCP) (in combination with clindamycin).
  • Prevention and treatment of uncomplicated P. ovale malaria
  • Presumptive antirelapse therapy for P. ovale malaria
