Immediate-release formulations:
- Influenza A
- Prophylaxis and treatment: no longer routinely recommended due to high incidence of resistant influenza strains, unless circulating strain known to be susceptible
- Parkinson’s disease
- Drug-induced extrapyramidal reactions
Extended-release formulation:
- Dyskinesia in patients with Parkinson disease receiving levodopa-based therapy; adjunctive treatment to levodopa/carbidopa for “off” episodes
