FDA

Immediate-release formulations:

  • Influenza A
    • Prophylaxis and treatment: no longer routinely recommended due to high incidence of resistant influenza strains, unless circulating strain known to be susceptible
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Drug-induced extrapyramidal reactions

Extended-release formulation:

  • Dyskinesia in patients with Parkinson disease receiving levodopa-based therapy; adjunctive treatment to levodopa/carbidopa for “off” episodes
