- Tuberculosis treatment [combine w/ other antitubercular agents for failure of primary medications (e.g., pyrazinamide, isoniazid, rifampin, ethambutol +/- streptomycin)].
- Consider only when first-line TB medications cannot be used.
- Generally restricted for use in MDR and XDR TB cases.
- Treatment of acute urinary tract infection treatment caused by Enterobacter spp. and Escherichia coli (generally not recommended) .
