INDICATIONS

FDA

  • Prophylaxis for drug-induced bone marrow toxicity (e.g methotrexate, pyrimethamine, or trimethoprim)
  • Antidote to the toxic effects of folic acid antagonists such as methotrexate, pyrimethamine, and trimethoprim.
  • Megaloblastic anemias associated with sprue, nutritional deficiency, pregnancy, and infancy when oral folic acid therapy cannot be given.
