Male Hypogonadism
DEFINITION
- Male hypogonadism is a clinical syndrome that results from the failure of the testes to produce physiologic testosterone levels as a result of disruption of one or more levels of the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis[6].
- Classified as primary (resulting from testicular disease), secondary (resulting from pituitary and/or hypothalamic disease), or combined primary/secondary.
