Depression in Diabetes
DEFINITION
- Depression is a mental disorder, diagnosed using specific criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V), characterized by depressed mood and/or loss of pleasure in most activities (anhedonia), along with the signs and symptoms described below.
- Symptoms must be present for at least 2 weeks.
