- A disorder characterized by psychotic symptoms, including hallucinations, delusions, or formal thought disorder, and accompanied by disorganized behaviors, negative symptoms, and/or a decline in premorbid functioning
- Negative symptoms: affective flattening, alogia (poverty of speech), anhedonia (inability to experience pleasure), avolition (lack of motivation), apathy (lack of interest), and/or social isolation[1]
- Positive symptoms: hallucinations, delusions, and/or formal thought disorder
