- Common pathogens:
- Dacryoadenitis (DA):
- Acute: staphylococci, streptococci; rarely N. gonorrhoeae.
- Pediatrics: EBV, mumps, CMV, enteroviruses
- Chronic DA: usually non-infectious. If infectious, consider TB, syphilis, leprosy, cysticercosis, schistosomiasis; blastomycosis, histoplasmosis.
- Canaliculitis (CA):
