  • CDC INDICATIONS: inadvertent inoculation (extensive lesions or some ocular implantations), eczema vaccinatum, generalized vaccinia (if severe or recurrent), progressive vaccinia
  • NOT RECOMMENDED: prophylaxis against smallpox vaccination adverse event, accidental implantation (mild instances), generalized vaccinia (mild or limited - most instances), eerythema multiforme, encephalitis post-vaccination (not effective), vaccinia keratitis (may produce severe corneal opacities).
