VACCINE TYPES

  • Conjugate vaccines:
    • Menactra (MCV4): quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (Groups A, C, Y and W-135)
    • Menveo (MenACWY-CRM): quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (Groups A, C, Y and W-135)
    • Menhibrix (HibMen-CY-TT): bivalent meningococcal (Groups C, Y) and Hib capsular polysaccharides conjugate (tetanus toxoid) vaccine
  • Polysaccharide vaccine:
    • Menomune (MPSV4): quadrivalent polysaccharide vaccine (Groups A, C, Y and W-135 combined); polysaccharide vaccines probably have less durable serologic response than conjugate vaccines.
  • Recombinant vaccines:
    • Bexsero (MenB-4C): recombinant vaccine (only Group B)
    • Trumenba (MENB): recombinant vaccine (only Group B)
