MICROBIOLOGY

  • Yeast, seen as 4-6µm organism, pseudomycelia.
  • One of few fungi that grow on blood agar and in blood culture media.
  • Common non-albicans spp: C. glabrata, C. guilliermondii, C. krusei, C. kefyr, C. lusitaniae, C. parapsilosis, C. tropicalis.
